Comics
Comics and graphic novels are currently enjoying a rise in popularity. The translation of these works requires strategies used in both literature and film translation: On one hand, the comics are a written medium, but on the other hand, most of the words are dialogue and can only occupy a very limited space — in speech bubbles, for example. They also require an awareness of the visual component of the storytelling.
