Screenplays

Filmmakers often require translations of screenplays, treatments and proposals for grant applications — or in order to share them with co-producers. In these cases, the translation must maintain the specialized vocabulary and formatting of the original screenplay.

The dialogue needs to seem natural and tailored to the different characters, and stage directions need to be translated in an exact and atmospherically dense manner. The script’s ideas and details – humour,
tension and emotion – need to be conveyed.
